Standard Narrow Aisle Warehouse Steps

The narrow aisle mobile steps are based on our standard heavy duty range of steps – still with all the strength, but they don’t have the wider rear axle. On the standard steps, the wheels on the rear axle protrude beyond the steps for stability. These narrow aisle steps have the wheels mounted under the framework of the steps, which means they are suitable for racking with narrow aisles or tight spaces.

Note though, that they should not be used in open spaces as they are not as stable if the operative is leaning out. In order to improve stability, all our narrow aisle mobile steps have tapering sides so the user is forced to stand over the centre line.

The top platform width of the steps is always 400mm. The steps are also fitted with an internal brake system as opposed to the side mounted lever to save space.

Our standard range sports 2 fixed castors at the rear end and 2 swivel castors at the front. These swivel castors can be raised so the steps frame bottoms out on the ground. The handle mechanism is mounted within the body of the mobile steps helping to keep the steps narrow.

The mobile ladder is fitted with our industrial hi-grip step as standard, also a 100mm kick-plate and safety operating sticker. This narrow aisle warehouse step has a max width of 540mm, but we can offer the ladder in any custom size as required.
